Fue sede de un Colegio que estuvo a cargo de los jesuitas hasta su expulsión. En 1790 este edificio fue incorporado al Colegio Carolino. Más tarde sirvió de cuartel, escuela y hasta de bodega de una empresa cervecera. En 1997, el gobierno del estado intervino en el rescate y recuperación de este edificio y estableció allí sus oficinas centrales. Actualmente es sede del Poder Ejecutivo y de la Secretaria de Gobernación. Es un espléndido edificio que sobresale por sus armoniosas dimensiones. Su patio y fuente central se encuentran delimitados por dobles arcadas de piedra gris que le dan conjunto un carácter monumental, sobrio y festivo a la vez.


It hosted a College who was in charge of the Jesuits until their expulsion. More later served as barracks, school and even a brewery cellar. In 1997, the State government intervened in the rescue and recovery of this building and established its headquarters there. Today it houses the Executive and Secretary of the Interior. It is a magnificent building that stands out for its harmonious dimensions. Its patio and central fountain are delimited by double arches of gray stone that give all a monumental, sober and festive at the same time.
